Dimensional formilae and SI units of same mechanical Quantities
In physics and all science, dimensional analysis is the analysis of the relationships between different physical quantities by identifying their dimensions. The dimension of any physical quantity is the combination of the basic physical dimensions that compose it, although the definitions of basic physical dimensions may vary. Some fundamental physical dimensions, based on the SI system of units, are length, mass, time, and electric charge.

| 1. | Area | length x breadth | L x L = L2 = [ M 0 L 2 T 0 ] | m2 |
| 2. | Volume | length x breadth x height | L x L x L = L3 = [ M 0 L 3 T 0 ] | m3 |
